(1) Due to circumstances resulting from an emergency situation or natural causes when recommended by public works personnel, the city council imposes mandatory water use restrictions as follows:

(a) Prohibits water usage for vehicle washing;

(b) Prohibits water for use in washing down paved surfaces or other structures;

(c) Restricts outside watering for even addresses on even-numbered days and odd addresses on odd-numbered days. No outside watering on Sundays. Watering must be done by hand with a hose fitted with a hand-held nozzle only;

(d) Prohibits outside watering between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.;

(e) Prohibits filling of swimming pools, ponds or hot tubs;

(f) Prohibits water to be used by fire district personnel for drills or truck washing;

(g) Prohibits sale of bulk water.

(2) Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00. (Ord. 418 §§ 1, 4, 2014; Ord. 229 § 3, 1977; Ord. 222 § 2, 1977).
