Upon the enactment of the ordinance codified in this chapter and on the first business day of each January thereafter, the municipal judge shall, in the presence of the mayor, prepare a preliminary jury list by drawing no less than 50 names, by lot, from the voters’ registration list used at the city election. The names so drawn shall be placed upon a list stating surname and Christian name of each juror, address and occupation. The list so prepared shall be certified by the municipal judge and placed in the office of the city recorder as a public record. (Ord. 245 § 4, 1978).
