No trucks weighing 40,000 pounds or more shall travel, park, or be moved over, across or upon the public streets or alleys of the city of Yoncalla by any person unless they fall within the following exceptions:

(1) It is traveling upon a “main truck route”;

(2) It is traveling upon a street in or bordering an industrial-zoned area of the city or is traveling to or from an industrial zone so long as the travel route taken is the shortest distance possible on the nonmain truck route;

(3) It is a publicly owned vehicle;

(4) It is following city-approved detour routes;

(5) It is traveling upon the streets set forth in YMC 10.25.020, subject to any and all restrictions therein;

(6) It is delivering items to or picking up items from residences or businesses in the city, so long as the travel route taken is the shortest distance possible on the nonmain truck route;

(7) It is traveling to a home residence bobtailed or unloaded to off-street parking, or on a city-approved pad. (Ord. 336 § 3, 1994).
