(1) Except as provided in YMC 8.10.070, no minor shall attempt to purchase, acquire or have in his possession any alcoholic liquor.

(2) For the purposes of this article, possession of alcoholic liquor includes the acceptance or consumption of a bottle of such liquor, or any portion thereof, or a drink of such liquor. However, this section does not prohibit the acceptance or consumption by any person of sacramental wine as part of a religious rite or service. (Ord. 212 § 4, 1977).
