(1) All owners and occupants of all buildings are required within 90 days after numbers have been assigned, to affix numbers assigned to such buildings in a conspicuous place on the portions thereof facing the street or private way on which the same are located. Such numbers shall be in plain view and conspicuous from the street or lane. The numbers must be three inches or larger in height. Penalties will be as follows:

(a) After 90 days – $10.00 fine, first warning;

(b) 15 days – $5.00 fine, second warning;

(c) 15 days – $5.00 fine, third warning.

(2) Provided, however, if the building is so situated that numbers cannot be placed in a conspicuous place in plain view from the street or lane, numbers shall be placed in a conspicuous place on the building and in view from the driveway servicing the building. In addition, numbers so assigned shall be displayed in a conspicuous place in plain view from the street or lane at its intersection with the driveway. (Ord. 261 § 7, 1981).
